The Day's Summary

Tennessee baseball lost a rare fall test against outside competition on Thursday, as On3 reported the Vols' exhibition against Kennesaw State in Chattanooga was canceled because of weather. The cancellation removed one of the few chances this fall for Tennessee to measure itself against another program.

With that date gone, the remainder of the fall schedule falls back to what has carried it so far: the intrasquad scrimmages. Those internal workouts will have to provide the rest of the evaluation work as the Vols close out the autumn.

Notes from Tennessee's Oct. 28 situational intrasquad scrimmage posted after Wednesday's summary window. The workout focused on the teaching side of fall ball — set pieces and specific game situations drilled live — as players continued competing for spring roles.
