The Day's Summary
Saturday's Tennessee baseball mention again came through football coverage, as Sports Illustrated's Southeastern Conference Week 9 predictions column featured former Volunteers player Dylan Dreiling. Like the Week 8 edition before it, the football picks piece pulled a former Diamond Vol into the discussion.
Dreiling's presence in the column is a quiet measure of the program's footprint. Its former players remain part of the wider SEC conversation long after their time at Lindsey Nelson Stadium has ended, even in the middle of football season.
Updates Since October 30, 2026
On3's statistics and notes from Tennessee's Oct. 30 intrasquad scrimmage arrived after Friday's summary had closed. The workout continued the Vols' fall evaluation process, with returners and newcomers competing for roles that will be decided before opening day.
