The Day's Summary

Tennessee softball closed its fall schedule in emphatic fashion on Saturday, defeating Lee 14-1 in the fall finale, with Sports Illustrated publishing its takeaways from the game. A runaway win was the cleanest possible ending to the fall, sending the Lady Vols into the winter with their final look at outside competition firmly in hand.

Head coach Karen Weekly then met the media after the game, with Sports Illustrated collecting everything she said. Her comments effectively closed the book on the fall schedule — the last public assessment of where the roster stands before the program turns its attention toward preseason and the spring.
