Volunteers Return From Open Week and Turn Attention to Kentucky

Tennessee is coming off its bye week with its next test now clearly in view, as a matchup with Kentucky sits on the horizon. The open date gave the Volunteers a pause in the schedule, and the focus now shifts fully to preparing for the Wildcats.

A bye week in the middle of the season typically offers a chance to rest, recover, and reset before the stretch that follows. For Tennessee, that reset leads directly into a border rivalry game, the kind of matchup that rarely needs extra motivation on either sideline.

How the Volunteers use the extra preparation time will show once the game arrives. Kentucky is next up, and Tennessee emerges from its week off with the rivalry meeting as the immediate priority.
