Tennessee's depth fuels its reverse-sweep upset of Kentucky

Tennessee's women's volleyball team leaned on its depth to upset Kentucky in a reverse sweep, with the Lady Vols' full roster playing its part in a memorable comeback win.

Depth becomes decisive in a match like this one. When a team falls behind against an opponent of Kentucky's quality, turning the contest around often requires contributions from beyond the starting group, and Tennessee got what it needed from across its lineup to win three straight sets and complete the comeback.

For the Lady Vols, the manner of the win may matter as much as the result itself. Knowing they can call on their whole roster and still topple a top SEC opponent gives Tennessee options and confidence for the demanding matches still ahead.
