Barnes Says Tennessee Looks Much Better With Tyler Lundblade

Rick Barnes has pointed to Tyler Lundblade as a reason Tennessee looks dramatically better, offering a notable assessment of the player's impact on the Volunteers as the regular season approaches. According to the report, Barnes described a clear difference in how the team looks when Lundblade is part of the picture.

That kind of comment carries weight coming from Barnes, who is careful about how he evaluates his roster publicly. If Lundblade is making the team look that much better in Barnes' eyes, it suggests his role could matter more than a simple depth piece for Tennessee.

For the Vols, the takeaway is about fit as much as talent. A player who makes the whole group function better can shape rotations and lineups, and Barnes' remarks put Lundblade squarely in that conversation heading into the season.
