Barnes Talks Dalton Knecht, the Former Vol Now with the New York Knicks

Rick Barnes has spoken about former Tennessee star Dalton Knecht, who is now with the New York Knicks, in comments covered by Yahoo Sports reflecting on one of the most productive players of the Barnes era in Knoxville.

Knecht's single season at Tennessee made him a household name in college basketball and carried him into the professional ranks, and his path remains a reference point for what a transfer can become in Barnes's program. The move to New York is the latest chapter in that rise.

For Tennessee, Knecht's success is both a fond memory and a recruiting argument. Barnes's comments keep that connection alive as the current Volunteers begin a season shaped in part by the standard Knecht set.
