Barnes offered the latest on Jalen Washington's fight for Tennessee eligibility

Rick Barnes provided an update on Jalen Washington's ongoing effort to become eligible to play for Tennessee. The case remains unresolved in public terms, and Barnes's comments were the latest word from the program on where things stand.

Washington's eligibility matters because it affects how Tennessee can plan its roster and rotation for the season ahead. Until a final determination is made, the Volunteers will have to prepare both for his possible availability and for the possibility that they must go forward without him.
