Rick Barnes Discusses Dalton Knecht's Fresh Start With the Knicks

Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes has weighed in on Dalton Knecht and the fresh start Knecht is getting with the New York Knicks, according to a report from the Knoxville News Sentinel. The story centers on Barnes' perspective on his former Tennessee player as Knecht begins this new chapter in New York.

For Tennessee, the item is a reminder of the program's recent reach into the professional ranks, with a player who played for Barnes now continuing his career with the Knicks. Barnes' comments keep the focus on Knecht himself and on the opportunity presented by the move, rather than on Tennessee's current roster.

No further details from Barnes' remarks were available in the material provided with the report, but the headline takeaway is clear: Knecht's former college coach is publicly discussing, and drawing attention to, the restart Knecht is making in New York.
