Barnes reacted to Tennessee's 103-64 exhibition defeat at Duke

Tennessee lost its exhibition game at Duke by a score of 103-64, and Rick Barnes spoke afterward about his team's performance. A 39-point defeat is a stark result at any stage of the year, and it left the Volunteers with plenty to examine.

Barnes's postgame comments are the program's first public response to the loss. Because the game was an exhibition, the result will not appear in Tennessee's regular-season record, but the performance still raises questions the Volunteers will need to answer quickly as the season approaches.
