Bridgette Gordon's Comments After Florida A&M's Exhibition Against Tennessee

Lady Vols great Bridgette Gordon spoke after Florida A&M's exhibition game against Tennessee, and Sports Illustrated collected everything she said following the matchup. Her presence gave the exhibition a storyline beyond the score, bringing one of the program's defining players back into its orbit.

Gordon's perspective carries weight on both sides of a game like this. She knows what Tennessee basketball is supposed to look like from the inside, and hearing her assess an occasion built around a new Lady Vols team connects the present roster to a celebrated past.

For Tennessee, nights that bring its greats back around the program reinforce what the current players are stepping into. Gordon's comments after the game were part homecoming and part evaluation, and both parts matter to a team still introducing itself.
