Former Tennessee forward Lauren Hurst will miss the season for her new team

Former Lady Vols forward Lauren Hurst has been ruled out for the season with her new team, ending her campaign before it could get underway.

The ruling also means Hurst will not play against Tennessee, removing a matchup that would have brought the former Lady Vol face to face with her old program.

For Tennessee, that meeting will now go ahead without one of its more personal storylines. For Hurst, the focus shifts away from this season entirely, after being ruled out for the year with her new team.
