Fauntleroy's Injury Status Addressed by Caldwell After the Exhibition Victory

Kim Caldwell updated the injury situation of Kennedy Fauntleroy after the Lady Vols' exhibition win, according to On3's reporting. The update put the point guard's health alongside the result as one of the main storylines to come out of the game.

Fauntleroy's role makes her status impossible to treat as a minor note. A team's point guard organizes the offense and sets its tone, so any uncertainty around her availability shapes how Tennessee prepares and how its backcourt minutes are planned.

For the Lady Vols, clarity on Fauntleroy is one of the most important things to emerge from the exhibition stretch. Caldwell's update gives the team and its supporters the latest picture, and her progress will continue to be watched closely as the regular season approaches.
