With Tennessee outside the preseason Top 25, attention turns to Kim Caldwell

Tennessee's absence from the Preseason Top 25 will put added attention on head coach Kim Caldwell as the Lady Vols get the season underway, according to this All for Tennessee piece.

The argument is that being left out of the preseason rankings does not lower scrutiny in Knoxville — it raises it. Caldwell will be watched closely from the start to see how her team responds to beginning the year unranked.

For the Lady Vols, that means early-season performances will carry extra weight in shaping the outside view of the program, with a climb into the polls as the clearest way to answer the questions.
