Lady Vols roll past Florida A&M in exhibition ahead of the regular season

Tennessee delivered a dominant performance against Florida A&M in an exhibition played before the start of the regular season, according to Sports Illustrated. The Lady Vols controlled the matchup in a preseason outing that let them measure themselves against outside competition.

A commanding exhibition showing can build confidence, but its larger value is practical. Kim Caldwell and her staff got to see their roster in live action, evaluate combinations and identify what needs tightening before games begin to count in the standings.

Tennessee will now turn its attention to the regular season with that performance behind it. Sustaining the same level against the schedule ahead is the real challenge, but the Florida A&M game gave the Lady Vols a strong preseason marker.
