Tennessee moves up in ESPN's last preseason bracket projection

Tennessee rose in ESPN's final preseason bracketology, an improved position in the last projection released before the season gets underway.

Bracketology at this stage is a forecast, not a result, but movement in the final preseason edition is still a sign of how the Lady Vols are being viewed heading into the year. Rising rather than falling suggests expectations for Tennessee firmed up as the opener approached.

The real test, of course, will come on the court. Tennessee will now have to play its way toward the kind of postseason position the projection envisions, with its actual record and results replacing preseason estimates once games begin.
