Kaylene Smikle lands on the Cheryl Miller Award watch list

Lady Vols player Kaylene Smikle has been named to the Cheryl Miller Award watch list, earning preseason recognition ahead of the new season.

A place on a watch list of that kind identifies Smikle as a player to follow in connection with the award, putting her name among those being considered at this early stage.

For Smikle and for Tennessee, the honor is both recognition and a standard to meet. Her performances over the course of the season will decide whether she remains part of the Cheryl Miller Award picture as it narrows.
