Tennessee Meets Duquesne as Kim Caldwell Begins Her Third Season With the Lady Vols

Tennessee's meeting with Duquesne provides the setting as Kim Caldwell opens her third season in charge of the Lady Vols. The preview frames the game as the first real test of a new campaign for a program that has spent the buildup reshaping itself and settling into Caldwell's way of playing.

For the Lady Vols, an opener like this is about more than the result. It is a chance to see how a largely new group handles real game conditions together, how the rotation begins to take shape, and whether the pace and pressure Caldwell wants are there from the start.

How Tennessee looks in this first outing will set the tone for what follows. A sharp, connected performance would give the Lady Vols an early foundation, while any rough edges would show Caldwell and her staff exactly what needs work as the season gets going.
