What stood out from Tennessee's exhibition matchup with Florida A&M

Sports Illustrated reviewed Tennessee's exhibition against Florida A&M and drew out the main takeaways from the Lady Vols' performance. As a preseason outing, the game offered a first extended look at how the team functions together on the court before the regular season begins.

Takeaways from an exhibition are best read with that context in mind. The value lies in early signs about the roster, the style Tennessee wants to play under Kim Caldwell, and which areas still need work, rather than in treating a preseason result as a final verdict.

Those early observations now form a baseline for the Lady Vols. As the regular season approaches, the questions raised against Florida A&M will be the ones Tennessee has to answer against stronger and more familiar competition.
