New-look Lady Vols ready for their first appearance on the court

Tennessee's new Lady Vols team was set to take the court for the first time, in a preview reported by WBIR. The occasion marked the public debut of this version of the roster, giving supporters their first chance to see how the pieces fit together.

A first appearance carries questions that practice alone cannot answer. Under head coach Kim Caldwell, the Lady Vols' approach, rotations and chemistry would all be on display once the team faced live opposition rather than itself.

For Tennessee, that first outing is a starting point rather than a conclusion. Whatever it showed would shape the work ahead as the Lady Vols move from preseason anticipation into the regular season.
