Florida A&M matchup brings Tennessee face to face with a former Lady Vol

Tennessee's matchup with Florida A&M carried an added storyline, as the Lady Vols were set to face a former Lady Vol now on the other side, according to Yahoo Sports. The reunion element gave the exhibition a personal edge beyond the usual preseason evaluation.

Facing a player who knows the Tennessee program adds a familiar twist to game preparation. For the current Lady Vols, it is both a test on the court and a reminder of how widely the program's former players are spread across college basketball.

The connection does not change Tennessee's task. Kim Caldwell's team still had to use the game to prepare for the regular season, even with a familiar figure lining up against them.
