Kim Caldwell speaks after Lady Vols exhibition win over Florida A&M

Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell addressed reporters following the Lady Vols' exhibition victory over Florida A&M, in coverage presented by Rocky Top Insider. The appearance gave Caldwell a chance to offer her first public assessment of her team in a game setting, coming against an opponent outside the program in the preseason.

Exhibition games serve a different purpose than regular-season contests, allowing a coaching staff to test rotations, combinations and pace before the results count. Caldwell's postgame comments therefore carry weight less for the final margin than for what she saw from a group still settling into roles.

For the Lady Vols, the next step is turning those early impressions into preparation for the regular season. What Caldwell chose to emphasize after Florida A&M will help set expectations for how this Tennessee team intends to play.
