The Day's Summary

A single preview framed Sunday's attention: Tennessee's meeting with Florida A&M, with the Lady Vols listed as RV/RV — receiving votes in both polls — heading into the matchup. The designation was carried at the front of the University of Tennessee Athletics preview as part of how Tennessee is positioned for the contest.

For the Lady Vols, the game is a building block and a test of preparation in a game setting. Each early outing helps clarify what this team is and what it still needs to become, and the performance against Florida A&M will add to that early picture, whatever label sits beside Tennessee's name at the start.
