Tennessee and Kentucky homecoming matchup set for 6:15 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN

Tennessee's homecoming matchup with Kentucky has been set for a 6:15 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN, according to the University of Tennessee. The Vols enter the matchup ranked No. 16 and No. 17 in the two rankings reflected in the announcement, while Kentucky comes in at No. 9 in both.

The ranking gap sets up a notable homecoming test for Tennessee against a top-10 Kentucky team. An evening kickoff on ESPN also puts the game in a prominent national television window.

For Tennessee, homecoming adds extra occasion to an already significant matchup. With Kentucky ranked ahead of the Vols in both listings, the game presents Tennessee with a clear opportunity to make a statement in front of its home crowd.
