Man caught sneaking into Tennessee-Alabama game in a security uniform while drinking

One fan's plan to watch Tennessee play Alabama for free ended with him in custody instead of a seat. A 20-year-old man was caught trying to sneak into the game while dressed in a security uniform, an impersonation that might have carried him further if not for one detail: he was drinking alcohol while wearing it, and that is what gave him away.

The attempt came on one of the most crowded days on Tennessee's home schedule, with stadium staff already managing a capacity crowd for the rivalry game. Passing as security is a bold strategy in that environment, but openly drinking on the job, at an age below the legal drinking age no less, tends to draw the wrong kind of attention.

Instead of watching the Vols and Crimson Tide, the man ended up dealing with the actual security personnel he had been imitating. It stands as the strangest footnote to a day that otherwise belonged to Tennessee.
