Tennessee Priced at 7 Percent to Win the SEC in Polymarket's Post-Week 7 Odds

Tennessee's win over Alabama did more than shake up the standings. When Polymarket updated its odds to win the 2026 SEC Championship on Wednesday morning, the Volunteers checked in at 7 percent, a number that places them firmly in the league's contender tier after seven weeks of the season.

The market moved after one of the wildest weekends the conference has produced in years. Top-ranked Georgia lost 27-24 to Auburn, and No. 7 Texas fell by the same score on the road at Florida. In Knoxville, No. 14 Tennessee handled No. 6 Alabama 26-10, one of three games between ranked teams on the league schedule that weekend.

Even so, the market still asks Tennessee to prove a little more. Ole Miss leads the league at 15 percent, and Alabama, despite losing at Neyland Stadium, sits just ahead of the Vols at 8 percent. Tennessee's price reflects a 6-1 record, a 3-1 mark in SEC play, and three straight wins since the Week 4 loss to Texas, the team's only defeat.

The next chance to move the number comes Saturday, when Tennessee travels to South Carolina to open the second half of its schedule. Keep winning, and the odds will take care of themselves; stumble on the road, and a market that already prices the Vols behind two other contenders will cool in a hurry.
