Tennessee's Projected Finish Gets a Fresh Look After Week 7

Tennessee's outlook for the rest of 2026 has been recalculated in the wake of Week 7. An updated projection of the Volunteers' final record was released after the weekend's games, with the Alabama result doing most of the revising.

Projections move when resumes do, and Tennessee changed its profile in one afternoon: 6-1 overall, 3-1 in the SEC, and owners of a 26-10 win over Alabama that stands as the program's biggest of the season. Whatever number the updated forecast assigns the Vols, it is now built on a team that controls much of its own path.
