Georgia cornerback Preston Glasco commits to Tennessee for 2027 over Alabama and Georgia

Tennessee added another piece to its 2027 recruiting class on Wednesday night, when cornerback Preston Glasco announced that he will play for the Volunteers. Glasco revealed his decision during a livestream with 247Sports, choosing Tennessee from a final group made up entirely of SEC programs.

Glasco comes from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, and is listed at more than 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds. In the 247Sports Composite rankings for the Class of 2027, he is rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 88 cornerback in the class, the No. 104 player in Georgia and the No. 883 prospect overall nationally.

His recruitment drew wide interest before it narrowed to the final three. Glasco collected scholarship offers from 21 programs, with Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and Oklahoma State among the other schools involved along the way. When it came time to decide, though, the choice came down to Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia, and he sided with Josh Heupel's program over two of its closest rivals.

With Glasco in the fold, Tennessee now holds 19 verbal commitments in its 2027 class. That group currently sits at No. 22 in the national team rankings on the Composite, and Glasco gives the Vols a long cornerback from Georgia who was wanted by the very programs Tennessee has to beat on the field and on the recruiting trail.
