Linebacker Skylar Alston, a 2028 Four-Star, Picks Six Finalists and a Commitment Date

Skylar Alston, a four-star linebacker in the 2028 recruiting class, has moved into the final stage of his recruitment. After drawing 44 scholarship offers and taking visits to programs around the country, Alston has cut his options down to six schools and has chosen a date to announce his commitment.

The report from On3 says Alston discussed each of the six contenders, the timeline leading up to his decision, and the factors that will ultimately separate the school he picks from the rest. The names of the six finalists and the specific commitment date were not included in the portion of the story available here, so they cannot be confirmed from that material.

For Tennessee and any other program still in contention, a decision timeline from a heavily offered 2028 linebacker matters early: the Vols and their competitors now know the recruitment has a defined finish line, even if the full list of finalists still needs to be reported in detail.
