New playoff projection puts BYU at No. 1 seed and Tennessee in the bracket

A new College Football Playoff prediction from On3 places Tennessee inside the projected bracket. In the same projection, BYU rises all the way to the No. 1 seed.

The projection puts Tennessee among the teams in the field at this stage, a sign the Volunteers are being viewed as a playoff contender in this outlook. BYU's move to the top seed is the other major change highlighted in the prediction.

For Tennessee, being included in a projected bracket keeps the focus on staying in that position as the season continues. Any further movement will depend on results, but this update has the Volunteers in the field rather than on the outside looking in.
