Bishop's Big Day Not Enough as Tennessee Falls to South Carolina

DeSean Bishop delivered a big game for Tennessee against South Carolina, but his performance was not enough to carry the Volunteers to a win. Bishop headlined the list of Tennessee's top performers in a game the Vols ultimately lost to the Gamecocks.

That a standout individual effort still ended in defeat is the frustrating part for Tennessee. When one of your best players produces at that level, it is usually the foundation of a victory, and the Vols instead walked away having wasted it.

Bishop and the other Tennessee players who performed well deserved a better outcome, and their efforts will be the bright spot the Vols take from an otherwise disappointing day against South Carolina.
