Greg McElroy Offers Strong Assessment of Josh Heupel After Tennessee Beat Alabama

ESPN analyst Greg McElroy offered a strong assessment of Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel in connection with the Volunteers knocking off Alabama. The A to Z Sports report centered on McElroy's remarks about Heupel at a moment when Tennessee had secured a win over one of its biggest rivals.

A victory over Alabama naturally puts the focus on the head coach, and Heupel was the subject of McElroy's comments after the result. The coverage presented those remarks as a notable evaluation of what Heupel has done at Tennessee.

For Tennessee, beating Alabama is the kind of result that shapes how a season and a coaching tenure are judged. McElroy's strong statement added a national analyst's voice to the conversation about Heupel following the win.
