Former Vol Dalton Knecht lands with a new NBA team in a less-than-ideal fit

Former Tennessee star Dalton Knecht has found a new NBA home, according to A to Z Sports, but the report frames the landing spot as something other than an ideal situation for him.

Knecht's time at Tennessee made him one of the most recognizable Vols in recent memory, and his professional path has drawn steady interest from Tennessee fans following him after college. A change of teams is a significant step in that path, even when the fit is questioned from the start.

What it means for Knecht will come down to opportunity rather than labels. If the new situation gives him minutes and a clear role, the early doubts may not matter. If it does not, the concern raised in the report could prove well founded.
