A former Vol who left after the 2025 season has been named a mid-season All-American

A familiar name is collecting national honors this fall, just not in a Tennessee uniform. A former Volunteer who transferred away from the program following the 2025 season has been named a mid-season All-American for his play at his new school.

Recognition like that cuts both ways in Knoxville. On one hand, it speaks well of the talent Tennessee recruits and develops that a departing player can perform at an All-America level. On the other, it is a reminder of how much production can walk out the door in the transfer portal era, and why the Vols' own roster building each offseason matters as much as it does.
