Tennessee Opens as Early Favorite for Kentucky Matchup

Tennessee has opened as the early favorite for its matchup with Kentucky, with the Volunteers getting the initial nod ahead of the meeting between the two SEC rivals. The game is set for Knoxville, where Kentucky will visit Tennessee, and the early line reflects confidence in the home team as preparations begin for the week.

The matchup carries added attention as Tennessee's Dark Mode game, a theme that has become a notable part of the home atmosphere in recent seasons. Head coach Josh Heupel has also previewed the Kentucky matchup this week, addressing the challenge the Wildcats present as Tennessee turns the page to its next opponent.

For Tennessee, being favored early sets an expectation the Volunteers will have to meet on the field. Kentucky has made a habit of playing Tennessee tough, and the early outlook suggests a competitive game in Knoxville rather than a comfortable walkover for the home side.
