Tennessee kicker commit Ford Fehling recaps his trip for the Alabama game

Tennessee kicker commit Ford Fehling has shared his account of visiting for the Volunteers' game against Alabama, according to a report from Sports Illustrated. The visit gave the committed specialist a firsthand look at the program on one of its biggest home weekends of the season.

Trips like this are a standard part of the recruiting process even after a player has committed, offering a chance to spend time around the team and experience the game-day environment in person. For a kicker, that includes seeing the stadium atmosphere and the operation up close on a day when the opponent is a longtime rival.

Fehling's decision to detail the visit publicly is another sign of his ongoing connection to Tennessee as he moves through the commitment process. The full account of what he took away from the Alabama weekend is available in the original Sports Illustrated story linked below.
