South Carolina center Carter Miller gets clearance to face Tennessee

South Carolina center Carter Miller has been cleared to play against Tennessee, according to a report from Yahoo Sports. The decision means Miller will be available in the middle of the Gamecocks' offensive line for the matchup with the Volunteers.

The center is a central piece of any offensive line, handling the snap and helping set protections before each play. Having Miller cleared removes a question at that position for South Carolina as it prepares its offense for Tennessee.

For Tennessee, the news clarifies what to expect across the line of scrimmage. The Volunteers' defensive front can prepare for Miller to be in the lineup at center, rather than for a replacement stepping into that role for the Gamecocks.
