Beamer's Last Two Seasons Undercut South Carolina Jabs at Tennessee

Criticism of Tennessee from South Carolina supporters is drawing a pointed response, with the focus shifting back to the Gamecocks and their own head coach. Rather than letting the remarks about the Vols stand on their own, the argument turns attention to Shane Beamer and his recent history.

That history covers each of the past two years, and it is presented as a reason South Carolina fans may want to be more cautious before mocking Tennessee. What Beamer did during that span, according to the account, complicates the criticism coming from his program's fan base.

For Tennessee, the exchange is another reminder of how quickly storylines between SEC programs can reverse. A debate that began with shots at the Vols ends with scrutiny of South Carolina's coach instead.
