No. 11 Tennessee faces South Carolina at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN in Columbia
Tennessee continues its push toward the College Football Playoff on Saturday afternoon with a road game against South Carolina at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with television coverage on ESPN and streaming available through ESPN+. The broadcast team is Wes Durham, Dusty Dvoracek and Taylor McGregor, while the Vol Network radio call features Mike Keith, Jayson Swain and Brent Hubbs.
The Vols arrive at 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the SEC after a 26-10 win over Alabama last week, a result that lifted them three places to No. 11 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the Coaches Poll. South Carolina is 3-3 overall and 1-3 in league play and is coming off a bye week. Odds list Tennessee as a 2.5-point underdog with a total of 50.5, underscoring how difficult this road trip is expected to be despite the difference in records.
South Carolina's season turned with a 38-19 upset win at Florida on Oct. 10, when quarterback LaNorris Sellers accounted for 299 yards of offense and five total touchdowns. For the season Sellers has thrown for 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns with four interceptions, and he is also the Gamecocks' second-leading rusher with 411 yards and two scores. That followed a three-game losing streak that included a one-point overtime loss to Kentucky after leading 17-0, along with defeats against Alabama and Mississippi State.
The all-time series favors Tennessee 27-11-2, and the Vols have won four of the last five meetings, including a 41-20 victory at Neyland Stadium in 2023, the most recent matchup. The last visit to Columbia in 2022 went badly, however, with South Carolina winning 63-38. After this week Tennessee has a bye before closing the regular season in November with home games against Kentucky and LSU and road trips to Texas A&M and Vanderbilt, making a win in Columbia important to sustain the playoff projections that currently place the Vols as high as a No. 6 seed.
