Josh Heupel Placed on Watchlist for a Prestigious Coaching Award

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has been named to the watchlist for a prestigious award, according to a report from Sports Illustrated. The selection places Heupel among the coaches singled out for consideration for the honor.

A spot on a watchlist is an early step in an award process rather than a final decision, marking a candidate out for continued attention as the season goes on. For Tennessee, it is another sign of the notice Heupel's work leading the Volunteers is drawing beyond Knoxville.
