Tennessee defensive back Dejuan Lane discusses the Vols setting the terms on defense

Tennessee defensive back Dejuan Lane has spoken about the Volunteers' defense dictating games, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel. The comments put the focus on Tennessee controlling how games unfold on that side of the ball rather than simply responding to what an offense presents.

Lane's remarks frame dictating play as the defense's identity. Beyond the headline itself, no specific statistics, quotes, or game details were available in the material provided for this story, so the account rests on that central point: a Tennessee defender describing a unit intent on imposing itself.
