2028 In-State Corner Target Jermaine Cobbins Visits Knoxville for the Alabama Game
Tennessee's staff is already working on the distant future of the secondary. Jermaine Cobbins, an in-state cornerback target in the 2028 class, was in Knoxville for a visit during the Third Saturday in October — the Volunteers' showdown with Alabama.
Getting a young prospect on campus for the biggest home game of the year is a deliberate move. Cobbins got to see Neyland Stadium at full volume, a rivalry game with enormous stakes, and the kind of atmosphere Tennessee sells to every defensive back it recruits.
In-state battles matter, and they start early. By bringing one of Tennessee's top young corner targets around the program now, the Vols are laying groundwork in a recruitment that will play out over the next couple of years.
