Tennessee Will Wear Dark Mode Uniforms Against Kentucky

Tennessee will wear its dark mode uniforms for its matchup with Kentucky, according to the Knoxville News Sentinel. The alternate look gives the Volunteers a distinct uniform for the game against the Wildcats instead of the program's traditional home appearance.

Dark mode has become one of Tennessee's recognizable alternate presentations, and choosing it for Kentucky adds an extra layer of occasion to a conference matchup. Uniform selections do not decide games, but they do shape the atmosphere around one, particularly when a team reserves an alternate for a specific opponent.

For Tennessee, the decision sets the visual tone for the Kentucky game in advance. The Volunteers will take the field in dark mode, and attention will then turn to whether the performance matches the build-up the uniform choice creates.
