2028 Four-Star Cooper Martenson Leaves Saturday Visit With Tennessee Near the Top

Tennessee made a strong impression on Cooper Martenson during his visit on Saturday, with the Volunteers now sitting high on the board for the four-star prospect in the class of 2028. The report from Sports Illustrated centers on where things stand after that trip, and the early picture is encouraging for Tennessee.

Recruiting battles in the 2028 class are still in their early stages, so a visit that moves a program near the top at this point matters mostly as a foundation. Tennessee has put itself in position to stay involved as Martenson continues to evaluate his options and take more visits.

For the Volunteers, the next step is maintaining that standing over a long recruitment. Plenty can change before a player in the 2028 class makes a decision, but leaving the weekend near the top of his list is exactly the kind of early momentum Tennessee would want from a Saturday visit.
