Kentucky Game at Neyland Is Sold Out, Extending Tennessee's Streak to 33 Games
Tennessee has announced that its November 7 home game against Kentucky at Neyland Stadium is sold out, pushing the program's sellout streak to 33 consecutive games. Kentucky had been the last remaining home opponent with limited tickets still available, so the announcement completes another full slate of capacity crowds in Knoxville for this season.
The streak began in Week 3 of the 2022 season, when 101,915 fans watched Tennessee rout Akron 63-6. That followed a season opener against Bowling Green that drew 92,236 and a road trip to Pitt. Tennessee carried a 27-game streak into this fall, with home games against Kennesaw State, Texas, Auburn, Alabama and LSU already sold out before the season began.
The matchup will kick off at 6:15 p.m. Eastern and air on ESPN, a time and network the SEC announced on Monday. Both teams are off this week, with No. 16 Tennessee at 6-2 overall and 3-2 in the SEC, and No. 9 Kentucky at 7-1 and 5-1. The Vols are coming off a 27-24 loss at South Carolina, while Kentucky beat Vanderbilt to move into first place in the conference standings, adding considerable weight to what awaits after the bye.
The sellout also reflects sustained demand beyond single games. Tennessee announced in April that it had sold its full allotment of 70,500 season tickets for a fourth straight season, with a renewal rate of 97 percent for the second year in a row and an interest list of 29,414 fans. Athletic director Danny White credited that support in a statement announcing the season-ticket sellout. After Kentucky, Tennessee has three regular-season games left: at Texas A&M on November 14, home against LSU on November 21, and at Vanderbilt on November 28.
