Tennessee Going All-White on the Road at South Carolina in Week 8
Tennessee will wear white from head to toe on Saturday, revealing on Thursday morning an all-white uniform combination for its Week 8 road game at South Carolina. The look pairs white helmets with white jerseys and white pants for the trip to Columbia.
The Volunteers head into Williams-Brice Stadium carrying plenty of momentum. Last week's home upset of Alabama lifted Tennessee to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the SEC, and pushed the Volunteers up to No. 11 in the AP rankings. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, with Tennessee looking for a fourth straight win.
South Carolina presents a different kind of challenge than its record might suggest. The Gamecocks are 3-3 overall and 1-3 in the SEC, but they bring real firepower, led by quarterback LaNorris Sellers, and they will be at home with a chance to hand Tennessee the same kind of upset the Volunteers just pulled off themselves.
That is the trap Tennessee has to avoid. Coming down from the high of beating Alabama in time to handle a dangerous road opponent is the task in front of the Volunteers, and they will try to do it dressed in all white, hoping how they look in Columbia is matched by how they play.
