Heupel and an NFL Coach Chose Opposite Paths on the Same Call

Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and an NFL head coach were presented with what looked like the same obvious decision, according to a report from A to Z Sports, but the two coaches handled it in completely different ways. The contrast is the focus of the story, placing Heupel's choice side by side with the approach taken at the professional level.

For Tennessee, the comparison offers another look at how Heupel approaches decisive moments for the Volunteers. Without the two coaches agreeing on the same course of action, the story raises the question of which approach served its team better, and it frames Heupel's decision as one worth weighing against the very different path chosen in the NFL.
