Gilliam and Bishop Pick Up Midseason Honors for Tennessee

Two Tennessee Volunteers, Gilliam and Bishop, have collected midseason honors, according to a Yahoo Sports report on Tennessee football. The recognition comes at the midpoint of the season and reflects what each player has contributed to the Volunteers so far this year.

Midseason honors are a checkpoint rather than a final verdict, singling out players whose first half of the season stood out. The specific details of the honors were not included in the material available for this report, but having two Volunteers recognized at once points to contributions coming from more than one part of the roster.

For Tennessee, the twin recognition is a useful measure of where the team stands heading into the second half of the schedule. Gilliam and Bishop will have the rest of the season to build on the form that earned them this attention.
