Tennessee at South Carolina: Vols chase 7-1 and an October sweep before the open date

Tennessee is back on the road in Columbia to face South Carolina, with a chance to reach the open date at 7-1. The Volunteers are looking for a fourth straight SEC victory, which would also complete a sweep of their October schedule.

The matchup pits head coach Josh Heupel against Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks on their home field. Tennessee quarterback George MacIntyre is part of the storyline heading into the game, as the Vols try to carry their recent conference momentum into another road test.

For Tennessee, the task is to handle the road environment and avoid letting a strong run of SEC results slip just before the break. A win would send the Vols into the open date at 7-1 and keep the October run intact.
