Tennessee's Closing Stretch Examined as Vols Take Their Open Date

With Tennessee on an open date, 247Sports used its 2-4-7 feature to offer thoughts on the Volunteers' stretch run. The piece takes stock of where Tennessee stands as the team pauses before the final portion of its schedule.

An open date gives a team time to regroup before that closing run, and the column focuses on what lies ahead for the Vols rather than on a game this week. No specific details from the analysis were available in the material provided.

For Tennessee, the stretch run will determine how the season is ultimately judged. How the Volunteers come out of the open date and handle the games that remain will shape their final standing.
